Ο Σκοπός Μας
Our Purpose
- To promote our respect and affection to our native island Lesvos, the principles of Greek and American Democracy, and the Greek Orthodox Church.
- To create mutual held and support among the members, as well as a combined effort of all the members towards a cultural, social, and economic promotion.
- To try to help unemployed members, support students in need of financial help with good academic standing that are natives or descendants of Lesvos and live in the United States or elsewhere, as well as to support people of Lesvos who need medical care.
- To contribute to the development and reinforcement of charitable and educational institutions of Lesvos and United States of America.
- To support cultural and patriotic activities in both Lesvos and the United States of America.
- To establish and promote cultural and intellectual communications among natives of Lesvos that live in all countries of the world.
- For the establishment of an “Island of Lesvos Center” that will serve for the intellectual, cultural and social promotion of the members of the Association.
